Highland Gates, Wallace Monument, and Stirling Bridge

Sterling Bridge was the site of a major Scottish Victory in the First War of Scottish Independence in 1297. Andrew Moray and William Wallace combined their forces to defeat the English. The Monument to Wallace can be seen on Abbey Craig at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands.
